Commissions
Important information for members!
The mission of CCW is carried out through the work of three Commissions, each under the direction of a Commission Chair. These Commissions were established by the National Council of Catholic Women and embody the values of CCW. Each Commission is mirrored at the diocesan, archdiocesan, regional and national level.
Each CCW Member should serve on one of the following Commissions:
Spirituality Commission – Aims to create a community of God’s people that is educated and dynamic. It works to establish a church community life by its programs in scripture, prayer, ecumenism and evangelism.
Leadership Commission – Provides information to help Catholic women understand the legislative process in order to be more politically effective. It also provides the “how to” for taking action to influence local, state and national issues. Promotes responsibility for the world community through the conviction that our wealth and resources must be shared with all people. Through the Commission, Catholic women promote understanding and peace throughout the world.
Service Commission – Engages the members of CCW, and all parish members, in working to address the needs of our local community.
